Two fly-fishing brothers (Craig Sheffer and Brad Pitt) accidentally hook the body of a young woman out of Boston’s Mystic River. The discovery of the corpse draws them into the childhood tragedy that links three men (Sean Penn, Kevin Bacon, and Tim Robbins), where suspicion, misunderstanding, and the neighborhood code of silence lead to another tragic murder.
